Do you like knitting?

Then you may want to join the ladies in our

Prayer Shawl Ministry.

Prayer Shawls, sometimes called comfort shawls, peace shawls, or mantles, are intended to be a reminder of God's ever-present love.

Shawls have been made for centuries; they wrap, enfold,

comfort, cover, give solace, shelter and beautify.

Those who receive these shawls are uplifted and affirmed,

as if given wings to fly above their troubles.

Are you interested in making a difference in the

lives of children?

Join the members of Waldheim as they provide love and encouragement to the boys at

The Methodist Children's Home of Greater New Orleans

in Mandeville.

Each year we visit with these boys and have a summer

Fishing and Crabbing trip, in November, they join us for a

wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, and then

we share the Spirit of Christmas

with them as we join them for a meal and visit

with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Come join us to grow in faith, while growing

Want to help families in need?

  Join us in providing a

"Hand Up" not a "Hand Out"

to the homeless families in St. Tammany Parish.

The ministry brings shelter, meals, and support services

to families who lose their homes.  It is a cost-efficient, effective community response to family homelessness.

Host Congregations provide a private or semi-private space

for each family, one week at a time on a rotating schedule,

providing the needed volunteers, supplies & resources

including meals, fellowship, and hospitality.
